Marin Symphony Youth Orchestra is hoping to raise funds to help support this trip for everyone (there are students that are part of this group that are from lower socioeconomic background and are supported by the Marin Symphony leadership.  The orchestra is seeking donations for raffles, donating for advertisement on the brochures for the three concerts that the kids have per year, and donations.

Not surprisingly, especially with the ever-amazing Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade on the horizon, Ryan and his array of supporters are back at it again. “Thank you for signing up to make flowers for our parade float. Some folks have already started. All are encouraged to make as many flowers that they can. We have people to paint if you just want to cut them out.

From Philly to Mill Valley: Incarcerated Artists From Different Prison Systems on Either End of the Country Collaborate in ‘The View From Here,’ at the Mill Valley Library Thru June 3rd

Artists incarcerated inside State Correctional Institute Phoenix, in suburban Montgomery County just outside Philadelphia, collaborated with their counterparts inside San Quentin Rehabilitation Center, near San Francisco, California, to stage an art exhibition. “The View From Here” has been on view at Paradigm Gallery in Philadelphia’s Old City. “The View From Here” will be on display from May 4th-June 3rd. Opening reception is on Tuesday, May 7th. The event is set for Thursday, May 23 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm in the Creekside Room.

We’re also supporting our fields and facilities on which hundreds of kids play by shining a light on the Mill Valley Friends of Parks & Recreation, which plays a peerless role in town in financially supporting our amazing fields.
