Take the best varietals from Napa, Sonoma, Alexander Valley and Mendocino and put them in downtown Mill Valley for a taste treat not to be missed. It's the 24th Annual Mill Valley Wine and Gourmet Food Tasting, where premium wineries mingle with local food producers and top-notch Mill Valley restaurants to turn downtown Mill Valley into a gourmet fantasy land. Join the fun on Sunday, June 26, 1-4pm, at Sunnyside and Miller Avenue at the Depot parking lot. Tickets are $30 per person in advance; $35 per person day of event. Tickets are available at the Chamber office at 85 Throckmorton Avenue or at the Mill Valley Market at 12 Corte Madera Avenue. As in years past, there will be roughly 70 premium wineries at the event mingling with 30 food purveyors and six local restaurants.

Some of the select labels whose wines have been featured in the past - and new ones - include Merry Edwards Wines, Silver Oak, Landmark, Kelham Vineyards, ZD Winery, Rombauer Vineyards, Twomey, Lewelling Vineyards, Pride Mountain, and Truchard. Many people come just to taste the wines from small-producing wineries, whose selections are only available by visiting the wineries in person. Several years ago, the event opened its tastings to the international sector and this year, even more international wineries are expected to pour their top of the line varietals from France, Germany and Italy.

For those who want more substantive 'tastes' - popular restaurants will include Champagne French Bakery Cafe, Gourmet Garden To Go, Piatti Mill Valley and Small Shed Flatbreads will be on hand serving up their specialties.
