The Redwoods, a Community of Seniors

The Redwoods has fulfilled its mission for almost 40 years: to provide exceptional, affordable living for Marin County seniors at any income level and promote the philosophy that aging is a vibrant phase of renewal, discovery, service and choices.

The Redwoods offers three levels of care: independent and assisted living, and skilled nursing providing access to wellness programs and cultural activities for little or no cost to residents, and to seniors outside the community.

More than 100 activities each week are available. Movement classes, the drumming circle, walking club, the speaker’s series, a contemporary chorus, and the resident-maintained organic garden are but a few of the activities offered. The Redwoods is also home to the Mill Valley Seniors for Peace, a group of activists for peace and social justice that is well known throughout the North Bay.
